Zloupotrebe i netransparentnost unutar sistema plaćanja advokata po službenoj dužnosti u Bosni i Hercegovini ali i regionu, razlog je zašto se Helsinški dobor za ljudska prava u RS zajedno sa partnerima iz Srbije, Makedonije, Albanije i Kosova uključio u projekat „Unapređenje sistema pravne zaštite optuženih“.
Projekat se primarno bavi advokatima koji se mogu pojaviti kao branioci po službenoj dužnosti pred sudovima, kao i one nevladine organizacije koje djeluju u oblasti reforme pravosuđa i vladavine prava, sa ciljem da se doprinese unapređenju sistema pravne zaštite kroz transparentan sistem imenovanja, plaćanja i odabira advokata.
O samom projektu, ciljevima i očekivanim rezultatima za Radio Slobodnu Evropu govorili su: Branko Todorović, izvršni direktor; Aleksandra Letić, menadžerica progama i Tamara Zrnović, koordinatorica projekta.
Due to obvius The abuses and lack of transparency within the appointment system of defense lawyers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Republika Srpska and partners from Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo initiated a project entitled “Enhancing the protection of rights of accused”.
The project will primarily target attorneys-at-law who appear as ex officio defenders of accused before courts, as well as civil society organizations from all five countries that are active in the field of judicial reforms and rule of law.
The project activities are aimed to enhance and make the appointment system more transparent, as well as the payment system and the competence development of lawyers.
Branko Todorovic, the executive director; Aleksandra Letic, the programme manager and Tamara Zrnovic, the project coordinator talked about the background, goals and expetec results to Radio Free Europe.
